Council 09 December 2008. Debate and voting end in 2 weeks.

How does this website works?

Rule2Gether enables democratic decision-making processes to be easily introduced in any organization's council by enabling agenda items to be controlled through an ad-hoc organization of members. The councilors' actions can be completely controlled by the majority of its voters. Members can do so through proposals, comments and votes expressed by web, telephone and/or regular in-person assembly.

Registered members can participate in the current Council Agenda by voting, amending, commenting in favor or against for each agenda item, and also rating and replying to other users' comments. Proposals can be created and supported to be discussed in the next council meeting, and the most popular will be sent to each councilor a few days before the Council Meeting date via snail mail.

Many features are still to come, such as email and RSS updates on topics of user's interest, quick search for proposals, agenda items and people, sorting and filtering options, blogs, comments and amends for each paragraph on a proposal or agenda item text to focus discussion, phone and snail mail participation for users who doesn't have access to the world wide web and much more.

This software is in use today by the roman chapter of Association of Direct Democrats, in Italy. Their discussion website is called http://roma.listapartecipata.it and they discuss items related to the Province of Rome Council.
